FAQs about Corvette ownership

What should I know before driving my Corvette for the first time?

For the best advice, check out Corvette Academy videos on this page. You can also ask the Corvette product specialist, or dealer representative, who‘ll accompany you on your test drive.

Can I test drive my Corvette on a racetrack?

Some Corvette dealers may offer you the opportunity to put your Stingray, Z06 or E-Ray through its paces on a racetrack. For more details, contact your dealer.

What are the different Corvette driver modes?

Standard driver modes include:

  • Tour Mode: prioritises a comfortable ride, softer suspension, and relaxed shifts.
  • Sport Mode: Sharpens throttle response, increases exhaust volume, provides heavier steering, and stiffens the magnetic ride control for spirited driving.
  • Track Mode: Built strictly for closed-course track use, optimises the car for maximum grip and speed, enabling Launch Control, and activating a race-inspired gauge layout.
  • Weather Mode: Tailors traction and stability control to minimize wheel slip and maintain grip on slippery, wet, or icy roads.
  • My Mode: Lets you save your preferred everyday configurations for steering, suspension, and engine sound.
  • Z Mode: Allows you to fully customise powertrain, engine sound, braking, and steering response. Also lets you adjust transmission shift points.
  • Specialty/Trim Modes: Depending on your Corvette model, you may also see options like Stealth, Shuttle, or Charge+, alongside advanced Performance Traction Management (PTM) settings in track environments.
